OakLeaf Clinics – Eau Claire Medical Clinic has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a part-time (24 hours/week) Medical Records Clerk in our clinic located at 855 Lakeland Drive Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, nurses and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.
Position description
As a Medical Records Scanning Clerk, you will work with our Medical Records team to accurately scan medical records into our electronic medical record. Additional duties may include processing medical records, release of information requests, answering incoming phones calls for records request and processing referrals.
Responsibilities
· Performs scanning of paper health information into patients’ electronic medical records following established guidelines
· Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of scanned document images to assure accuracy and legibility maintained
· Willingness to take on other duties/tasks and expand role within medical records and registration departments
· Maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications
· Minimum of a High School diploma; Associates Degree preferred
· At least one-year relevant experience and/or training
· Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
· Comfortable working in a flexible team environment
· Strong organizational skills
