Medical Records Manager manages medical record-keeping operations and healthcare information management to ensure secure, accurate, and reliable patient information management that complies with data and privacy regulations. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure effective and compliant record management, makes suggestions for process improvements. Being a Medical Records Manager implements digital technologies and tools to gain efficiencies, facilitate record retrieval, and ensure secure storage. Provides training for medical records staff and information resources to end-users. Additionally, Medical Records Manager coordinates with clinical and technical professionals to maintain robust records management systems and manage data for analysis and reporting. May require a bachelor's degree. May require Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Medical Records Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Medical Records Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join us in our GI division! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientific, clinical and therapeutic area expertise responsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZeneca's oncology marketed products, new indications for current products, and compounds in development.

    What you’ll do

    • Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
    • Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
    • Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT
    • Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions
    • Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
    • Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs
    • Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
    • Collaborate with Clin ops on Ph3 trials from feasibility to execution of trials

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Advanced degree required
    • 2 years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
    • Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
    • Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
    • Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment
    • Excellent project management ability
    • Ability to travel (40-60% by car and plane domestic)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical field
    • Advanced degree (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical subject area
