We have a full time position for a Medical Records Coordinator at our Waltham, Ma. location. Salary is commensurate with experience. Hours are Monday though Friday 9:00am to 5:00 pm.

Summary:

The Medical Records Coordinator supports the clerical team by coordinating the communication and dissemination of patient records for the fertility practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works in conjunction with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that the highest standards for patient care are met and that the Boston IVF mission statement is realized through the following elements:

• Responsible for compiling, processing, and managing the information generated in the facilities.
• Ensure that patient information is kept confidential and secure
• Follow established procedures for releasing medical records to authorized personnel
• Develops organizational tools to facilitate and incorporate accountability for all medical records
• Identifies and informs supervisor of discrepancies if found related to the medical records functions requiring completeness and regulatory compliance, and if discrepancies are discovered develops immediate corrective actions to meet the state and federal regulatory requirements for accuracy and completeness.
• Takes initiative to enhance record department procedures and capabilities
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA policies & procedures
• Communicates clearly and effectively to all relevant parties
• Interacts in a positive and sensitive manner with patients and their families to resolve issues, and conveys this attitude to all staff members
• Able to adapt to meet operational and clinic needs

• Demonstrated ability to adapt, innovate and lead interdisciplinary teams
• Utilizes problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills
• Highly organized – able to prioritize and execute

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma

2 years minimum EMR and Medical records experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
