Medical Records Coordinator

North Beach Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Records Coordinator to add to our team of professionals. We believe that every job in our company plays a vital role in our continued growth and commitment to provide quality patient care.

Additional compensation includes:

• 1.5X Holiday Pay
• 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week

Medical Records Coordinator Responsibilities: 

• Review admission information for accuracy and completeness
• Organize medical records to establish an order for permanent filing
• Note deficiencies to be completed by physician and professional staff
• Maintain and follow -up on records with deficiencies until the record is complete. 
• Upon discharge, assemble and review medical records for completeness
• Ensure receipt of records of residents discharged from the facility. 
• Responsible for implementing discharge summaries with physician and staff
• File medical records of discharged residents according to established policies 
• Ascertain the existence of medical records of discharged residents and retrieve my prior records for inclusion with current records
• Code and quantify records from admission to discharge 
• Assist with the development of record policies and procedures
• Maintain a documented, organized system readily accessible for authorized staff
• Prepare reports as requested 
• Maintain confidentiality at all times 

Medical Records Coordinator Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year experience in Health Information Management / Medical Records at Skilled Nursing Facility highly preferred
• Knowledge of medical record procedures
