Medical Records Research Coordinator jobs in Springfield, OH
Medical Records Research Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing the record keeping activities pertaining to releasing and retrieving medical records for research projects. Ensures all medical records are tracked and released according to HIPAA guidelines. Being a Medical Records Research Coordinator may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Records Research Coordinator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. RESPONSIBILITIES MEDICAL RECORDS:
- Collects, assembles, checks and files all charts as required.
- Audits records for completion; returns incomplete records to departments/ individuals responsible for completion.
- Provides copies of medical record documents as requested by authorized individuals at the direction of the NHA.
- Monitors inventory levels of chart forms and orders or produces forms as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
