Assigns required DRG (diagnosis-related grouping) codes. Being a Medical Records Technician works with coding databases and software to input and maintain data according to standard procedures. Performs quality audits of work. Additionally, Medical Records Technician maintains and up-to-date knowledge of coding and documentation requirements. Does not require a medical coding certification. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Records Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are hiring a career minded individual to join our growing team as an Orthodontic Records Technician. This is a full time position 7:30AM to 5:00PM four days a week. The records technician position will make records for patients as well as work in our sterilization area!
We are a busy and progressive orthodontic practice in Sioux Falls, SD that has grown to the point of needing an additional records technician. We have an excellent team currently in place that needs to grow to meet our growing patient demand.
