Medical Records Transcriptionist jobs in Fresno, CA

Omni Women's Health Medical Group is a leading provider of women's health care in the Fresno, CA area. We are looking for an energetic, punctual and hardworking Medical Records Assistant to join our practice.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain and update patient charts and medical records as appropriate
• Answer and route telephone calls
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Follow up on no-show and cancelled appointments
• Check insurance eligibility and submit prior authorizations
• Prepare and submit referrals
• Prepare patient packets
• Maintain a clean and friendly office environment
• Work collaboratively with all staff to ensure a positive patient experience
• Perform and undertake other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Office Manager

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year experience in medical office setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis/procedure coding
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required
