Medical Scribe Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in real-time
- Assist healthcare providers with documentation, including medical histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans
- Organize and maintain patient medical records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and workflow
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical scribe is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Please note that this position may involve working in different medical specialties, such as ophthalmology or the emergency room (ER).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
