Medical Scribe acts as an assistant during the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Documents and gathers information during the treatment process. Being a Medical Scribe organizes healthcare data to provide better service and efficiency of clinical care. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Medical Scribe may require certification as a Medical Scribe by the American College of Clinical Information Managers (ACCIM). Typically reports to a physician. The Medical Scribe works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Immediate Opening for a Medical Receptionist in a very busy, fast-paced medical office. Responsibilities include: patient check-in/check-out, answering a multi-line phone system, taking patient payments, scanning medical records, and scheduling follow-up appointments as well as outside radiology testing.
Ideal candidate will have previous medical office experience, will display a friendly, patient demeanor and be able to multitask in a high stress environment. While previous medical office experience is definitely a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 to 6:00.
