Being a Medical Scribe organizes healthcare data to provide better service and efficiency of clinical care. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Medical Scribe may require certification as a Medical Scribe by the American College of Clinical Information Managers (ACCIM). Typically reports to a physician. The Medical Scribe works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Looking for a scribe to work as a team player, who is able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
The scribe will be responsible for scribing for the doctor and completing patient charts within 24 hours of seeing patient.
The scribe will also be responsible for ensuring the appropriate personnel receive notice of orders that need to be made for imaging, diagnostic testing, etc.
