Medical Scribe jobs in Oakland, CA

Busy family practice seeking an experienced Medical Scribe for multiple full-time positions. This position is suited for an individual with excellent listening and multi-tasking skills who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position has a high degree of responsibility and independence. This is a team-oriented environment where our medical scribes work closely with a number of different providers.

The Medical Scribe assists our providers and accompanies them into patient exam rooms where they:

• Transcribe patient’s history in real-time,

• Document dictated physical exam findings,

• Observe and document any procedures,

• Order labs, imaging, medications, and referrals, as directed by the provider,

• Enter diagnoses, as directed by the provider,

• Formulate plan for follow up care, as directed by the provider.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Medical Scribe

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and experience in a clinic setting.

• High school diploma or GED

• Typing skills - must be able to type 60 wpm accurately

• Strong writing skills with demonstration of proper grammar and spelling, ability to write concisely.

Preferred:

• Experience with EPIC

Compensation ranges depending on experience from $17-$19 an hour.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
