Duties:
- Accurately transcribe and document medical information during patient encounters
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and accurate medical documentation
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts in real-time
- Assist with data entry tasks, including entering patient information into electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Review and verify the accuracy of medical documentation for completeness and compliance with regulatory standards
- Organize and maintain medical records in accordance with established protocols
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals as needed

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical systems
- Proficient in transcribing and typing medical information accurately and efficiently
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems a plus!
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage medical records
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a team setting
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical transcription or related field are a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A current UCSB Student interested in medicine, GYN is a plus!
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and multitask effectively
