Medical Scribe acts as an assistant during the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Documents and gathers information during the treatment process. Being a Medical Scribe organizes healthcare data to provide better service and efficiency of clinical care. Typically requires an associate degree. Additionally, Medical Scribe may require certification as a Medical Scribe by the American College of Clinical Information Managers (ACCIM). Typically reports to a physician. The Medical Scribe works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Pay Range:
Days: $16.94-18.70
Evenings: $18.04-19.80
Nights: $18.44-20.20
All evening and night shifts include shift differentials.
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
Job Summary
Medical Scribes must be proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication. Must be able to listen to complex medical information and summarize in a clear, complete, and concise fashion. Excellent English composition skills required to generate professional, polished writing at a high rate of production.
