Who Are We Looking For?

• College student or graduate with motivation to attend Physician Assistant School, Medical School, Nursing School, or other professional schools in the medical field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in typing (minimum 50 wpm) and computer use.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patients and employee information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work and participate in a team environment.

Learn About The Medical Record

You will learn why the patient’s chief complaint is different from the history of present illness. You will understand the importance of the social history and mental status exam. The order will be more meaningful, and you will practice it so often that you could do it in your sleep.

You'll be able to observe the respect given to team members and watch them intuitively help one another. You will be better prepared to understand the different roles that build a healthcare team by seeing it in action.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Document in real-time as the provider assesses and examines the patient.
• Improve the efficiency of patient care by assisting the physician with routine matters.
• Organizing laboratory results, radiology reports, medical records, and other data from the patient’s chart for review by the physician.
• Compile the patient’s pertinent diagnoses and treatment plans based on provider’s recommendations, including, but not limited to: ordering laboratory tests, radiographs, and prescriptions, and summarization of care-based counseling.
• Feel comfortable asking the provider questions to ensure chart accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
