Job Description
Primary Care At Home, Inc. is a house call practice which serves our elderly population in their home environment. As a member of our Primary Care At Home (PCAH) team, you'll be responsible for the organization of our medical office functions. You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service for our partner communities and patients.
When providing medical assistance, you will work with our practitioner to deliver primary health care in patients’ homes and facilitate a pleasant and efficient exam for the patient. When not seeing patients, you will perform various tasks on a daily basis. You must be able to multitask and prioritize. You will be expected to handle sensitive information confidentially. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized office, performing clerical duties, and assisting other employees as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Assist practitioner in patient exams, including set-up, vitals, cleanup, documentation
Drive or ride along with practitioner to the patients’ homes
Answer and direct telephone calls
Retrieve and direct incoming faxes to the appropriate team
Build and maintain provider schedules by territory
Update and maintain digital client records
Request and receive medical records
Facilitate referrals to specialists, home care, hospice and other healthcare/social services
Order and follow through on delivery of DME supplies
Monitor and direct incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail for pickup
Perform general administrative, clerical, and executive support tasks
Assist current employees; provide support where needed
Assist in organizing and facilitating workflow to ensure a productive workplace
Operate office machinery such as computers, photocopiers, and printers
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
