Medical Secretary - Home Care provides secretarial support to clinical staff in a home care environment. The Medical Secretary - Home Care possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.   • The Unit Secretary will be responsible to help Medical Records, and other clerical duties, managing patient records, and communicating with patients and families. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


    Essential Functions of Position:

    • Manage patient records, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and confidential.
    • Communicate with patients and families, providing updates and information as required.
    • Assist healthcare professionals with various administrative tasks.
    • Manage supplies and equipment within the unit.
    • Ensure the unit is clean and well-organized.
    • Handle any other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or healthcare team.


    Qualifications

    • Proven work experience as a Unit Secretary, Medical Secretary, or similar role in a healthcare setting
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures
    • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • High school diploma; or equivalent
