Medical Social Worker (BSW) provides social work services to hospital patients and their families. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems related to hospitalization. Being a Medical Social Worker (BSW) participates as a member of multi-disciplinary team and may assist patients in treatment planning. May contribute to the formulation of discharge plans. Additionally, Medical Social Worker (BSW) requires a bachelor's degree of social work. Typically reports to a manager. Starting Pay: $22.10 to $27.62 DOE
Provides service to patients, families, and others with personal and environmental difficulties which interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Parttime, benefited position working 48 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Monday - Friday with variable hours from 8 am - 4:30 pm, Weekends as needed and on call as needed
Current ND licensure in Social Work. Work requires a professional level of knowledge in Social Work which is acquired by completing a college bachelor’s degree program.
A minimum of 12 to 18 months of Social Service experience is required.
Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at JRMC. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Employees are also expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.
