Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems related to hospitalization. Being a Medical Social Worker (BSW) participates as a member of multi-disciplinary team and may assist patients in treatment planning. May contribute to the formulation of discharge plans. Additionally, Medical Social Worker (BSW) requires a bachelor's degree of social work. Typically reports to a manager. REQUIREMENTS:
1. MSW degree from an accredited graduate school. Two (2) years of post-graduation experience in a medical setting and current clinical license to practice in the State of Montana, LCSW is preferred.
2. Knowledge in the principles and practices of social work.
3. The ability to work effectively with professional and allied personnel as well as with related services and agencies.
4. Knowledge and skills in counseling.
5. Must be organized and proficient in completing documentation.
6. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
7. Demonstrate the ability to communicate with culturally diverse population in non-judgmental and therapeutic manner.
8. Knowledge of age-specific physiological norms, safety, abuse reporting and procedural issues.
9. Current Montana Driver's License.

Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
