QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Experience working with Community-based programs
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement the scope of services for the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services Community-Based Child Abuse/Neglect Prevention Services.
• Conduct, develop and schedule the ACT/Raising Safe Kids parent classes online and in person.
• Coordinate and deliver Community Parent Cafes.
• Ensure written materials are parent friendly and maintain community resource library.
• Maintain contact with parent leaders on the Parent Leadership Team.
• Assist with child abuse prevention month activities.
• Coordinate all social media posts related to parent leadership and help to design and maintain website for parent leadership.
• Talk to other agencies about how they can involve parents
• Participate in community awareness events that promote the agency and programs, and program activities of the organization.
• Coordinate and deliver on-line and face to face Parent Cafes.
• Provide case management and follow-up services for program participants.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
