Medical Staff Credentialing Director is responsible for all aspects of the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Provides regulatory oversight and guidance to the credentialing process. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Director maintains working knowledge and ensures continuing compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards and guidelines. Develops and implements policies and protocols related to medical staff verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with organizational and industry standards. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Director analyzes reports on applications and credential status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Presents files to the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to senior management. The Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Physician Medical Director - Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, manage, and supervise the roles of the Center PCPs
    • Identify physician recruitment needs and collaborate in the hiring and contracting of providers.
    • Establish work schedules and assignments for medical staff according to workload, space and equipment, and center needs
    • Oversee daily operations of physician services
    • Build strong relationships with specialists, hospitalist, SNF, and other providers to form a narrow network of quality services focused on senior population health
    • Monitor medical performance and provide guidance to ensure that the quality of care being provided meets appropriate standards and to ensure cost-effective utilization practices
    • Oversee the development, revision, and implementation of policies and procedures, systems, programs, and standards for health care services
    • Represent the organization in community and marketing events
    • Assess, develop and recommend strategies for compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Develop and maintain an effective relationship with all departments providing medical guidance and expertise
    • Identify trends of over- and under-utilization and implement action plans to improve
    • Direct and orient physicians in the correct application of approved guidelines
    • Oversee the operations of the wellness activities
    • Other duties as requested

    Physician Market Medical Director - Required Qualifications:

    • 5 or more years of clinical practice experience
    • 5 or more years of management experience
    • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
    • Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
    • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
    • This role has patient-facing duties. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB
    • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences

    Physician Medical Director Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of HEDIS/STARS
    • Knowledge of CAHPS and HOS
    • Experience working in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities
    • Experience working with an electronic health record
    • Experience working in Medicare Advantage Global Risk Models
