Medical Staff Credentialing Director is responsible for all aspects of the verification process for medical staff incumbents. Provides regulatory oversight and guidance to the credentialing process. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Director maintains working knowledge and ensures continuing compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards and guidelines. Develops and implements policies and protocols related to medical staff verifications and ensures that the organization and staff are in accordance with organizational and industry standards. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Director analyzes reports on applications and credential status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Presents files to the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to senior management. The Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeping/Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a Bookkeeper/Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and credentials required by regulatory agencies and insurance companies. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate complex credentialing processes will be crucial in maintaining compliance and ensuring the highest level of patient care.


    Duties to include:

    • Review and verify healthcare provider credentials, including licenses, certifications, education, and work experience
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and documentation
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of credentialing processes
    • Communicate with healthcare providers and external organizations to obtain necessary information and resolve any credentialing issues
    • Assist in the preparation of reports and audits related to credentialing activities
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and requirements related to provider credentialing

    Requirements

      

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in credentialing or a similar role
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, including journal entries, debits, credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis
    • A strong understanding of math and numbers
    • The ability to use various financial transactions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • At least 2 years previous experience in entering data into QuickBooks.

      

    Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week


    Schedule:

    • 8 hour shift
    • Day shift
    • No weekends
