Your responsibilities will include overseeing the medical staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This is a telemedicine position with 1 x per month in-facility visits in central/south Minnesota.

Regulatory:

The Medical Director shall provide medical and procedural consultation for residents of the Facility in accordance with all applicable Facility policies and Federal, State and/or Local laws, rules, and regulations, which shall include but not be limited to full compliance with Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations, and any applicable state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide medical leadership to the healthcare team through telemedicine and phone communication.
• Work with the facilities in-house Nurse Practitioner.
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to optimize patient care.
• Conduct regular medical assessments and provide treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives (QAPI) monthly meetings.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Active medical license in Minnesota.
• Proven experience in long-term care or geriatric medicine.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
