Credentialing Coordinator

Seeking a Credentialing Coordinator in Kingsport, TN to join our Credentialing team. Office hours typically 8-5, Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Credential new providers and re-credential existing providers.
• Coordinates credentialing paperwork with clinic managers.
• Ensure insurance carriers receive and process applications properly.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers credentialing requirements.
• Maintain and update providers’ participation status with insurance carriers for CBO and SOFHA staff.
• Maintain and update providers’ rosters.
• Evaluate insurance denials for “non-participating” or “out-of-network” providers and contacts insurance carriers to correct participation status.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Follow strict organizational policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of clerical experience with demonstrated initiative and self-direction or additional related education may be substituted for the two years of clerical experience.
