Medical Staff Credentialing Manager manages staff that process credentialing and recredentialing applications for health care providers. Oversees department operations to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Manager implements policies and procedures to ensure that applications are properly verified and accurately uploaded into an online credentialing database system. Analyzes reports on applications and credentialing status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Manager prepares files for the credentialing committee and may act as a liaison to state medical licensure boards regarding the status of license applications. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to a director. The Medical Staff Credentialing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Staff Pharmacist Position Description:
Complies to the standards of pharmacy operation
Assumes responsibilities for own professional education and assists in providing education to patients and other health care professionals
Utilizes pharmacy operation standards as outlined in policies and procedures pursuant to patient specific services that affect patient outcomes, optimize drug therapy and minimize costs
Utilizes effective communication and positive interpersonal skills
Demonstrates competence on a consistent basis in regard to medication dispensing
Performs duties in an independent manner and demonstrates desire to learn new tasks with little or no supervision
Critically evaluate the patient's drug regimen in context of the patient's medical conditions, available laboratory data and other pertinent patient parameters
Accurately detects, reports and monitors potential drug related problems
Provides rational drug therapy recommendations based on information from the medical record, laboratory data, patient interview and other pertinent patient parameters
Is able to formulate an optimal pharmacotherapeutic plan which organizes and prioritizes interventions listing options and providing follow-up recommendations
Experience/Qualifications:
Current GA Pharmacist license
Hospital experience preferred
GA Residency preferred
