Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a Provider Recruitment/Medical Staff Office Assistant who wants to impact patient care to our community!

As part of recruiting physicians and providers to our organization, and assisting them in their careers with Good Samaritan, you have the opportunity to work at the ground level of increasing access to healthcare in southern Indiana and southern Illinois.

The recruitment department works with physicians and advanced practice providers across the country, introducing them to our Good Samaritan family, as well as proudly showing off Vincennes and surrounding areas! Once a provider signs a contract, the medical staff team works together on securing privileges for these providers to get them started in their career here! This combination job allows you to be instrumental in information transfer between departments and greeting our new providers firsthand.

Essential Job Duties:

Physician Recruitment

• Work with team to plan, schedule and coordinate Physician and APP site visits and interviews
• Communicate and build working relationships with physician and APP applicants
• Create and maintain specific recruitment reports
• Learn software to manage databases and pay invoices
• Assist Director and Coordinator in multiple recruitment endeavors

Medical Staff Office

• Medical Staff Office correspondence and memos to providers
• Reports from the MSO software system as needed to assist other departments
• Data entry into MD Staff and support for the credentialing process in MSO
• Assist MSO Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator

Job Specifications:

• Education: GED or High School Diploma; Associates Degree Preferred
• Experience:  Healthcare experience highly preferred. Minimum two years experience in secretarial/Medical Staff office setting.  Knowledge of software applications and administrative and clerical procedures.  Proficient in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language skills.  Proficient in keyboarding, data entry and business writing.
