Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist, Sr. loads and maintains provider information in an online credentialing database system. Tracks license and certification expirations for medical staff to ensure timely renewals. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist, Sr. handles and resolves inquiries regarding credentialing information, process, or status. May provide guidance or expertise to less experienced specialists. Requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to a supervisor. Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support for managed care activities for the District. Performs a variety of tasks related to the oversight, development and support of all contract coordination activities for the District including but not limited to credentialing, re-credentialing, analysis, communication, process development and maintenance of managed care contracts, rosters and enrollments. . In addition, provides administrative services to support the payer credentialing/privileging process for all Multispecialty clinicians.
