The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care is looking to add a Credentialing Specialist to our outstanding team of employees. This position is part-time but can be full-time if the right candidate is willing to take on additional responsibilities. • Review and process credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging applications for healthcare professionals
• Verify and validate professional licenses, certification, education and training credentials
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing files for all healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist healthcare providers with the completion of credentialing applications and ensure timely submission to appropriate credentialing bodies and insurance companies.
• Monitor expiration dates of licenses, certifications, and other credentials to ensure timely renewal. Implement processes to track and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers regarding credentialing inquiries and issues. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external credentialing organizations, and insurance companies.
• Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
• Participate in audits and quality assurance activities related to credentialing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the credentialing process. Implement changes as needed to streamline operations and improve overall effectiveness.
