Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor oversees day-to-day activities of staff that process credentialing and recredentialing applications for health care providers. Implements department procedures to facilitate organized and up-to-date provider databases. Being a Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor administers system for tracking license and certification expirations to ensure renewals are submitted in a timely fashion. Ensures that applications are properly verified and accurately uploaded into an online credentialing database system. Additionally, Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor resolves complex questions regarding credentialing or provider database maintenance and best practices. Prepares reports on applications and credentialing status to identify trends and improve the credentialing process. May require a bachelor's degree. May require Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS). Typically reports to a manager. The Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Medical Staff Credentialing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Summary

    The Staff Accountant performs accounting duties under the direction of the Director of Finance and Senior Financial Accountant. This position performs various duties related to monthly accounting functions, productivity reporting, financial and statistical analysis, audits and special projects as assigned.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Prepares and enters end-of-month journal entries.
    2. Reconciles general ledger accounts.
    3. Inputs monthly accruals of expenses.
    4. Calculates reserves for accounts receivable.
    5. Prepares end-of-month statistic spreadsheets
    6. Performs end-of-month financial statement and statistical analysis.
    7. Prepares audit & cost report spreadsheets/schedules.
    8. Prepares statistic reports for audits.
    9. Backup to payroll and accounts payable.
    10. Invoices and records collections for NRMC rental properties.
    11. Records miscellaneous cash on a daily basis.
    12. Compiles labor and statistical information for bi-weekly productivity reporting.
    13. Compiles daily indicator report and distributes on a daily basis
    14. Performs monthly accounting functions for NRMC foundation
    15. Completes special projects as assigned.

    Competencies

    1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, proficient Excel.
    2. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    3. Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and special assignments.
    4. Ability to resolve routine problems.
    5. Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information and materials

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Business degree required.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Previous healthcare accounting experience preferred.
    2. One or more years in a general accounting environment preferred.
    3. Years of experienced may be considered in lieu of Accounting or Business degree.

    Working Conditions

    2. Frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift/pull/push during event set-up/breakdown.
