DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Core Lab Assistant Manager and in accordance with hospital and laboratory policies and procedures, performs moderate and high-complexity testing in the hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and chemistry departments.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory procedures using standard and specialized techniques, instrumentation, and equipment on a wide variety of biological specimens to assist the provider in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. To exercise professional judgment to recognize, prioritize, and facilitate varying test requests and workload in an efficient manner. To assume responsibility and accountability for accuracy of procedures performed.
