The Medical Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses in the hematology, blood bank, special chemistry, chemistry and microbiology departments in the laboratory. Associate must present record of certification to the Laboratory Director within 1 year of employment and/or within 90 days of expiration of MLT/CLA certification.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine laboratory testing, laboratory specimen collection and is responsible for quality control and regular maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Qualifies as testing personnel under Federal Register 493.1489
