Medical Technologist - Hematology performs a variety of blood tests, studies morphology of blood constituents and performs various coagulation tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Conducts technical procedures related to the counting and identification of blood cells and other specialized hematologic tests. Being a Medical Technologist - Hematology verifies accuracy of findings, identifies test inconsistencies, and takes appropriate action to make corrections and resolve problems. Operates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment used in blood analysis and procedures. Additionally, Medical Technologist - Hematology may perform urinalysis studies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Typically requires an American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or its equivalent. May require a state license to practice. Medical Technologist - Hematology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Following regulatory and corporate guidelines, they will facilitate and build scientific relationships and collaborations with the medical/scientific community. This position interacts with local, regional, and national HCPs, societies, and organizations. The MSL position is to provide educational, scientific, and research support for the SOBI rare disease portfolio of products in the hematology franchise. This is a remote position that requires up to 60% of travel. The candidate will have to reside within the territory: Northern California (San Francisco, Las Vegas)Key ResponsibilitiesAppropriately interact with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals. The base salary pay range for this role is $150,000-$180,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location.
