Meeting/Event Assistant plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Assistant researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Assistant conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Establishes relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. May assist more senior event planners in planning larger or more complex events. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Assistant work is closely managed. We are in a beautiful valley along the Yellowstone River, between three mountain ranges, just north of Yellowstone National Park. We serve our neighbors (ranchers, skilled trades people and active retirees) and the many tourists who come here on their way to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, or to fish the Yellowstone, hike, bike, hunt or just get away from overcrowded places. Big Timber is a vibrant and welcoming small town, an hour from Bozeman and Billings. Our schools are highly rated, with high community support.

    Pioneer Medical Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Resident Assistant (RA) to join our Boulder Meadows Assistant Livings resident care team.

    Resident Assistant Job Description

    Resident Assistant’s assist older people who are functionally, physically,

    and or socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight. The CNA’s / Resident Assistant’s role

    is to assist residents with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without

    help, always fostering residents’ independence and freedom of choice. All responsibilities

    will be conducted in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy of the Pioneer Medical

    Center.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

    • Dressing and undressing (clothing should be clean and appropriate for the season)
    • Bathing
    • Personal hygiene (shaving, dental hygiene, nail care, hair care, foot care)
    • Mobility devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, crutches) including monitoring of safe transfer and ambulation techniques
    • Care of ADL devices such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids

    2. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living:

    • Telephone (assists with calls, phone repairs, hearing and vision adaptive devices)
    • Laundry
    • Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs
    • Mail delivery, residents’ personal correspondence

    3. Medication Assistance:

    • Assists residents with self-administration of medications, including monitoring of medication supplies and documentation.

    4. Health Maintenance and Monitoring Tasks:

    • Reviews resident Service Plan and updates accordingly.
    • Observes and reports changes in residents’ physical condition and cognitive/emotional status to RN/Manager, as needed.
    • Conducts room checks and resident rounds.
    • Monitors for environmental safety hazards.
    • Records incidents, errors, or accidents
    • Records resident and resident-related events

    5. Kitchen and Dining

    • Preparation of supper i.e.: making sandwiches, toast, and coffee. Baking casseroles, warming soup, pouring beverages, etc. May also be asked to assist the cook with other meals.
    • Assists in a variety of tasks related to dining (escort residents to dining room, set up and cleanup of tables, serve meals, bus tables, wash dishes, stock)

    6. Housekeeping

    • Performs facility housekeeping duties to include vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting,

    sweeping and mopping of floors. Performs laundry duties.

    7. Activity Program:

    • Participates in organizing/planning resident activities program.
    • Responsible for participating in and supporting the resident activity program.

    8. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Responds to and acts appropriately in emergency or disaster situations.
    • Must be certified in CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and have basic first aid knowledge.

    9. Leadership:

    • Plans and completes duties with minimal direction from supervisor.
    • Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
    • Uses tactful, diplomatic communication techniques in potentially sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
    • Follows-up with appropriate staff, residents, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
    • Acts as ambassador and public relations representative to guests and other off-campus visitors
    • Maintains all certifications required for employment.

    10. Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Orders and monitors appropriate use of resident care, office, and other needed supplies.
    • Copies special paperwork or forms.

    Other Duties:

    1. Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the residents and an understanding of the aging process.

    2. Attends and participates in staff meetings or responsibly stays informed by reading and signing staff meeting minutes.

    3. Participates in in-services, projects or committees as assigned.

    4. Assists with quality assurance programs when indicated.

    5. Assists in training of new staff.

    Qualifications:

    1. Must be able to think, act, and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations. Must be self-motivated and function as an “in charge person.”

    2. Must be able to relate to residents and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.

    3. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shifts (including holidays) and participate in holiday activities.

    Working Conditions:

    1. Exposed to body fluids, infection, odors, and behavior of residents.

    2 Exposed to chemicals/cleaning solutions.

    Physical Demands:

    1. Must be able to lift/push up to 40 pounds.

    2. Must be able to walk two miles daily.

    3. Must be able to go up and down stairs.

    4. Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using proper body mechanics for sustained periods of time.

    5. Must be able to use stepladder for changing light bulbs and hanging seasonal décor.

    6. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.

    7. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional stress of this position.
