Being a Meeting/Event Assistant researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Assistant conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Establishes relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. May assist more senior event planners in planning larger or more complex events. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Assistant work is closely managed. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a crucial role in planning and facilitating a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities to promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being among our residents.
Key Responsibilities of an Activities Assistant :
Assisting in the development and implementation of creative and engaging activity programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.
Leading group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, music therapy sessions, and educational workshops.
Providing one-on-one support and encouragement to residents who may need extra assistance or personalized activities. Assisting with the setup, cleanup, and coordination of activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Documenting residents' participation and responses to activities, as well as any observations or concerns, to support individualized care planning.
Collaborating with other staff members, including recreational therapists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to integrate activities into residents' overall care plans.
Participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in activity planning and resident engagement.
