Meeting/Event Assistant plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Assistant researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Assistant conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Establishes relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. May assist more senior event planners in planning larger or more complex events. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Assistant work is closely managed. SUMMARY:
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Operating Room (OR)
SCHEDULE: Day/Evening/Night plus on-call responsibilities
ATTRIBUTES
One (1) year of patient care and/or operating room experience in an accredited hospital preferred
Basic computer skills
Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Maintenance. Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile areas; responsible for cleanliness and safety of environment for all those within it; transport specimens, cultures and medications within the hospital
Collaboration. Work with team to provide smooth workflow in peri-operative setting; work as a team to accomplish room turnover
Patient Care. Assist in the transporting and positioning of patients as directed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $16.40 - $17.25
