Meeting/Event Director jobs in Charlotte, NC

Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     General responsibilities for our Preschool Director include:

    Ensuring the safety or every child in our care

    Overseeing preschool operations including enrollment, human resources, quality assurance, compliance, and facility operations

    Developing strong relationships with our families

    Preschool Director Required Qualifications:

    BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field

    NC Childcare Administration Credentials

    Prior Managerial Experience in an Early Childhood setting with multiple classrooms and programs

    Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
