Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     How you will contribute:


    • Grow the FORVIS Clinical Integration Network (CIN) solution set
    • Develop new service offerings for our CIN clients
    • Serve as the primary thought capital leader on CIN matters
    • Actively seek to connect FORVIS' CIN support capabilities with current and potential FORVIS clients
    • Support partners and principals with the management of complex engagements and serve as the key activity driver
    • Manage multiple simultaneous engagements and various project teams
    • Investigate key client needs, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to inform enterprise strategic direction, strategy development, and priority-setting
    • Define unique responses, through research and application to challenging client issues
    • Develop engagement staff via real-time feedback, monitoring, and reinforcement
    • Model the firm's culture and commitment to growing our people and supporting our clients
    • Establish relationships with the healthcare practitioners across FORVIS Healthcare
    • Acquire new technical knowledge specific to our consulting practice and the clients we serve
    • Develop a deep understanding of the breadth and depth of practice offerings
    • Drive practice growth through both add-on sales and new business ascertainment
    • Emerge as an industry thought leader in various areas via support of content marketing initiatives
    • Flexibility to accommodate travel and project-related expectations

      Minimum Qualifications:


      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
      • 15 years or more of relevant working experience in fast-paced dynamic environment with management consulting and/or corporate strategy background required
      • Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, and budgets/schedules

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • MBA/MPH/MPA/MHA
      • 10 years or more of experience consulting Hospitals, Health Systems, Clinically Integrated Networks, and Large Physician Organizations
      • Demonstrated record of participating in selling professional services engagements - both add-on work and net new work
