Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Responsibilities:
- Tutor students with special needs using specialized strategies in the areas of reading, spelling, math, and homework help.

-Implement behavioral and motivational strategies
Experience:
- Must be proficient with the English language with strong reading and writing skills
-Prefer strong math skills, at minimum through Algebra 1 level
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
-Must have a strong, nurturing sensibility for working with a diverse range of students
-Preferred experience working with individuals with special needs
Education:
-High school diploma required, and must be enrolled in a Bachelor's program
-Preferred BA or higher degree in an education related field
*Note, this is a part time position, ideal for individuals looking for 2-10 hours weekly. During the traditional school year, work hours tend to be during after-school hours from 3-6pm. During the summer, work hours tend to shift to mornings. Starting pay is noted, though there is potential for negotiation based on experience. Additionally, there is potential for additional hours and significant pay increases based on skill development and work ethic.
