Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Position Summary:

    The Director of Maintenance oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization's facilities and equipment through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to maintenance staff
    • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
    • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
    • Ensure that spare parts, components, and tools needed for maintenance are always available by ordering, forecasting, and monitoring material inventories.
    • Hire, train, and evaluate maintenance workers; monitor workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Experience in facilities or apartment maintenance
    • At least 2 years experience in staff management and development is required.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Good computer skills: including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
