Meeting/Event Manager manages and oversees the planning of live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the strategy and tactics to achieve the event objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Manager directs research of event venues. Develops a vendor network and negotiates contracts for catering and other event support services. Additionally, Meeting/Event Manager manages pre-event activities and post-event evaluations. Monitors and controls event budgets and prepares periodic management reports. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Meeting/Event Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Project Manager  will work on water supply/distribution, water quality and wastewater collection/treatment projects. This individual will work closely with the Municipal Team Leader and other members of a multi-disciplinary team. The Project Manager / Engineer will be responsible to oversee all technical aspects of a project, as well as administration and management duties. The individual will be responsible to manage the design of water main distribution systems, storm facilities and sanitary pump stations, water booster stations, gravity and low-pressure sanitary sewer systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and design medium to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects
    • Assist with oversight and guidance of projects from initial concept through construction
    • Assist in the preparation of project proposals
    • Collaborate, mentor and lead as appropriate
    • Prepare preliminary engineering reports.
    • Perform and review detailed hydraulic calculations.
    • Produce effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications)
    • Assist clients with construction procurement
    • Assist with water and wastewater operations and research, hydraulic/process modeling, environmental review, permitting, and project financing
    • Provide bidding and construction administration services.
