Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities include:
Primary Material Planner for the electronics department for the Wellsboro, PA facility.
Create, modify, and track purchase orders to support production schedules and customer demand.
Interact with other planners, customer service, sales, and operations to monitor changing demands and avoid past due.
Support corporate inventory goals by properly managing inventory.
Determine material shortages, take appropriate actions, and communicate these actions.
Maintain a strong working relationship with peers, managers, other departments, and vendors.
Work on all issues that are potentially impactful to on time customer delivery and provide updates to the Planning Manager.
Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the corporation.
REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree in business or technical field.
Strong technical background and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
2 to 3 years of experience is preferred
