Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The location of this position is the Hampton Roads region of Southeastern Virginia.
Your Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate has comprehensive understanding of the philosophies, practices and techniques of urban/city planning; knowledge of principles and practices of research and data collection; and the ability to engage and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to prepare a range of master planning products. Initial focus will be on data collection, data analysis, preparation of plans and maps, GIS production, report graphics production, and workshop facilitation and documentation.
