Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities:
This position will report to the Facilities Administration Manager and will help lead efforts related to planning out the future spatial requirements and improvements to agency facilities and infrastructure.
Through the lens of sustainability, and endorsing modern clean building standards, this position covers a broad spectrum of problem-solving and creative solution development dealing with facility spatial requirements, leasing, and facility budget development. This is a senior-level position for determining spatial requirements, including long-range forecasts, preparing budget estimates for facilities planning including leased and constructed space, meeting state standards for spatial allocation, and capital budget acquisitions.
