Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The responsibility of the team, which consists of attorneys, accountants and professional planners, is to help our Financial Advisors (FAs) match our firm’s comprehensive services, solutions and strategies to fulfill the needs of their clients.
This role is going to be a unique opportunity for someone who wants to advance their planning knowledge yet has an interest in financial planning technology.
The individual in this role is going to lead the customization and maintenance of the client facing planning tool that our advisors will use to interactively to engage their clients in the financial planning process.
While this position is not a sales position, it will involve speaking with Janney’s FAs and their clients and advising on what strategies make sense based on their financial situation.
This position will be located in one of Janney’s five regions and may require up to 50% travel for business to assist Janney’s FAs with the creation and delivery of financial plans.
