Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job SummaryJob Responsibilities- Drive consistent communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for consistent project Material EAC's and Execution Charts
- Create appropriate documentation to plan material deliveries and monitor the supply chain
- Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions
- Create purchase requisitions based on the Master Production Schedule
- Create reports for distribution to program office, customer visits and management.
- Maintain manufacturing build plans on a daily basis
- Highlight critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS
- Coordinate engineering changes with purchasing and production. Ensure disposition of obsolete material
- Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
Job Responsibilities Part IIQualifications- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships
- Background in project material management
- Solid experience in production planning
- Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as Sharepoint
- Good understanding of MRP systems
