Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our client is currently looking for a Production Planner. This is a permanent opportunity, meaning you are hired as permanent employee from start.
Responsibilities
Creates and maintains the production schedule
Track and generate work orders, handle changes as needed
Work with both the engineering and production teams to stay ahead of issues
Work with purchasing and inventory teams to make sure you have enough materials for the work orders
Interacts with customers to provide project status and timelines
Utilize MRP / ERP system to track inventory and work orders
Experience
Minimum of 5-years’ experience working with production scheduling and inventory planning, within a manufacturing company
Minimum of 2-years’ experience working with MRP / ERP systems
Minimum of a completed High School degree or GED, college degree preferred
Excellent documentation skills
Attention to detail, organized, excellent time management
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, walk, and / or stand for long periods of time within a production environment
Ability to lift to 20 pounds
