The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring a temporary Civil Rights DBE/ACDBE Certification Compliance Officer. This position will evaluate Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) applications for certification.

Temporary employment up to 6 months, is non benefited, and will require an incumbent to travel approximately 30% of the time overnight and work irregular schedules.

Examples of Duties

• Evaluate DBE/ACDBE applications to verify certification eligibility
• Conducts DBE/ACDBE on-site reviews to verify certification eligibility

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of federal and state laws related to civil rights and affirmative action.
• Some knowledge of highway construction and contract administration, federal laws and regulations related to contract compliance, disadvantaged business enterprises, and on-the-job training programs.
• Experience: reviewing highway-related programs and evaluating records for compliance with federal and state regulations and policies, gathering and analyzing statistical data, and developing written reports based on this information. Making oral presentations before groups.
• Will be required to complete the National Highway Institute DBE/ACDBE training course
