Duties and Responsibilities:

1.

1. Assist with developing all related STC ODA processes, procedures, training, and other qualifications including procedure updates to reflect FAA regulatory or policy changes or resulting from continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Contribute to development of ODA manual, UM charts and ODA training material, in support of application for STC ODA. Support with maintenance of the ODA Manual.

1. Support Management of Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) hiring, firing, workload, schedule, and allocation.

1. Harmonize with the LH Airworthiness for alignment with the DOA and standardization purposes.

5.

1. Support development of Certification Plans, Compliance Checklists, and Conformity Plans for submittal to the FAA or to FCAA administrator, both internal and third-party projects that result in the issuance of Type, Amended Type or Supplemental Type Certificates.

6.

Review technical certification documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

7.

Manage implementation phase of the certification process

1. Provide guidance to Production, Quality and Engineering on regulatory issues, both FAA and Foreign Civil Aviation Authority.

Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

BS degree in Engineering or related, MS Preferred

Ten to fifteen years experience in the aerospace industry, including a minimum 5 years

leadership role for FAA certification activities and multidiscipline engineering tasks, with a track record of delivering successful results in a fast-paced business environment. 

1.

Strong understanding of aviation technology and methods to show compliance to certification

Rules.

2.

Deep knowledge and experience with FAA Certification Processes including ODA. 

3.

Experience developing certification artifacts for aircraft programs (Certification Plans, 

Compliance Matrices, Summary Compliance documents, Means of Compliance requirements

and statements, and Certification Basis).

4.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills in the face of ambiguity. 

Proven experience to create plans, communicate them, and lead an aligned team to execute.

5.

Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively communicate to all 

levels of the organization and internal and external customers, and diplomacy skills to serve as 

AWPC management representative to ODA and FAA.
