Member Certification Manager manages the certification and credentialing programs of a professional or membership organization. Oversees the development of standards and testing materials. Being a Member Certification Manager develops testing schedules and resource requirements to deliver testing. Collaborates with curriculum designers and instructors to ensure materials present certification requirements accurately and are validated in the certification processes. Additionally, Member Certification Manager develops quality processes to ensure the testing and validation processes accurately measure certification requirements. Optimizes the certification process to ensure members are satisfied and resolves any problems related to the process. May evaluate, select, and monitor outside testing providers to ensure testing quality. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Member Certification Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Member Certification Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Institute is seeking a Certification & Education Manager to oversee the ARM Endorsement Program and ARM-supported education programs. ARM Institute’s mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of innovative robotics technologies that are the foundation of every advanced manufacturing activity today and into the future through our national consortium and grant funding. 

    ARM's Endorsement Program seeks to identify, evaluate, and support quality robotics and manufacturing training programs, and connect employers with resources to upskill their workforces. The Certification & Education Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the ARM Endorsement Program, from application submittal through endorsement award and renewal process. This role serves as the main point of contact for, and collaborates with, endorsement seekers to maximize their training program’s effectiveness. In addition to leading the Endorsement Program, this role will also tap into the training program community to compile data and best practices to support workforce development initiatives.

    ARM’s emerging Learning Lab & Experience Center will be established in the Hazelwood Green Mill 19 facility with its partners from Carnegie Mellon University’s Manufacturing Futures Institute and Catalyst Connection. It will leverage the robotic assets and capabilities, including equipment, software and content experts in the Advanced Manufacturing technologies critical to the manufacturing supply chain.  This role serves as the lead for the design, development, and running of ARM’s Learning Lab & Experience Center.

    Reporting to the Chief Workforce Officer (CWO), you will play a key role in growing and enhancing the ARM endorsement program and educational programs like the ARM Learning Lab & Experience Center.

    For ARM’s Endorsement Program you'll:
    • Manage the endorsement process from initial conversation through institution application submission, through award of endorsement, and endorsement renewal.
    • Act as a subject matter expert for ARMs technology projects such as RoboticsCareer.org and drive program requirements for endorsement component.
    • Serve as the ARM lead for the Endorsement Council.
    • Oversee, develop, install, and evaluate the ARM Endorsement program.
    • Guides the input for system functionality in RoboticsCareer.org.
    • Evaluate training programs against criteria for endorsement awards.
    • Oversee consultants hired as ARM Endorsement program auditors.
    • Educate interested parties on the ARM Endorsement program (1 to 1 meetings, workshops, business development events)
    • Utilize the results from endorsement audits to observe national trends, data, and best practices from across industries through endorsement community.

    For the Learning Lab & Experience Center you'll:
    • Design, development, and running of ARM’s Learning Lab & Experience Center.
    • Establish comprehensive learning objectives and outlines for various audiences and personas.
    • Work closely and collaboratively with functional and implementation teams to evaluate the training needs and gaps of the ARM ecosystem.
    • Provide advice for integrating digital technologies (e.g. VR and interactive assessments) to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in linking industry-specific education materials to specific commercial certification(s), trainings, credentials, certifications, training systems, and learning management systems.

    What you need:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or a combination of relevant schooling and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of certification, assessment, instruction, or other relevant experience required.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience with proficiency in education and workforce development principles and procedures preferred.
    • Experience working with consortiums and/or in manufacturing is a definite plus.
    • Knowledge of methods and philosophies of education research, their application, and diagnostic and evaluation methods used in specialized curriculum areas.
    • Strong understanding of educational methodologies and taxonomies related to assessment, content presentation, visualization, and representation.
    • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Cooperative spirit: able to influence others to work together cooperatively.
    • Thorough and detail-oriented; sees projects and tasks through to the end.
    • Strong multi-tasker; able to juggle multiple projects in parallel.
    • Proficient with MS Office suite of products (especially PowerPoint/slide development, Word, Excel)
    • Willingness to travel as required.
