Additionally, Member Certification Specialist assists members with information about programs and resolves any issues with the process. Interfaces with and monitors outside testing providers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Member Certification Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job responsibilities:
This position is responsible for processing pre-certifications for procedures performed in the hospital and diagnostic center, obtaining referrals for office visits, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, confirming pre-certification approvals with provided schedules, and maintaining current understanding of insurance regulations and pre-certification requirements. Position also includes other various clerical duties. Candidates should be professionals with strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking and time management skills with a positive can-do attitude. Ideal candidates will have two years insurance experience and possess strong computer skills.
