The HBT Regulatory Team has an immediate opportunity for an Advanced
Certification Engineer within our Global Regulatory Team. The
preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and
have a fundamental understanding of product compliance methodologies within a
regulated global environment
The salary range for this role is $98,400 - $148,000. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
Key Responsibilities
Revise existing, and create new test and quality procedures for the lab with assistance of regulatory manager.
Act as regulatory technical expert to support compliance of new & existing Fire projects
Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams so they meet product requirements
Clarify necessary document changes and guide technical publication team to mitigate concerns
Define product approval strategy in the areas of design, functionality and documentation
Prepare test plans, setup systems, coordinate testing and obtain approval results with agencies
Perform software & hardware testing to identify performance gaps & improvement opportunities
Analyze task risks, deadlines & priorities to help management derive realistic project schedule
Resolve ongoing compliance concerns with engineering, marketing & technical publication teams
Utilize quality control procedures and approval guides to perform responsible test executions
Direct group of global team members on test methodologies to comply with local requirements
Develop standard works, implement best practices and train engineering team members
Maintain product & equipment compliance to latest standards (changes in EN, BS, UL/ULC, IEC, etc.)
Resolve manufacturing audit concerns by providing accurate & complete information
Utilize resources and optimize strategies for fastest way to execute projects
Identify test failure root causes and work with engineers on corrective action to resolve failures
Become an outstanding liaison between agencies and Honeywell engineering & quality teams
